Los Angeles, 25 febbraio 2919 – “Green Book” vince come miglior film. “Bohemian Rhapsody,” in testa con 4 Oscars, “Black Panther” si aggiudica 3 Oscars. “Roma“da 10 nominations guadagna 3 Oscars . “The Favourite”  partita con 10 nominetions vince un Oscar. Spike Lee prende come miglior sceneggiatura adattata un Oscar per “BlacKkKlansman”.
Dimenticate le diatribe sia per la scelta del conduttore dello show per la 91esima edizione dell’Academy Awards come la rivalsa vinta delle categorie nominate: Cinematography, Live Action Short, Make Up, Film Editing e Hairstyling ad essere premiate in diretta.
Tra l’eleganza di attrici, attori, la spontaneità dei presentatorie specialmente all’insegna del supporto della diversità,si è svolta la distribuzione degli Oscars.
I ringraziamenti dei vincitori hanno sottolineato il supporto delle mamme e nonne. Spike Lee ha ricordato l’aiuto emotivo e finanziario della nonna, senza i quali, non avrebbe potuto frequentare l’università.
La vittoria di Rami Malek, per l’ interpretazione di Freddie Mercury in “Bohemian Rhapsody”, era nelle aspettative, i ringraziamenti di Malek sono andati non solo ai genitori e fidanzata ma specialmente ai Queen (Non è mancata la performance d’apertura dello show dei Queen e Adam Lambert che ha scaldato gli entusiasmi del pubblico) ricordando come sia lui che Mercury erano immigranti. I loro sogni si sono realizzati . Dunque bisogna credere in se stessi senza arrendersi alle difficoltà.
Lady Gaga, emozionatissima , insieme ai suoi collaboratori vincitori per la miglior canzone “Shallow” ha ripetuto il messagio nel credere in se stessi e andare avanti, lottando per i propri ideali.
Alfonso Cuarón premiato sia per miglior regia di “Roma” miglior film in lingua straniera e Cinematography ha dedicato la sua vittoria a tutte le domestiche ancora lavorativamente sfruttate augurando loro di riuscire a far valere i propri diritti.
Guillermo del Toro, nonostante l’influenza, non ha voluto perdere l’occasione di presentare il vincitore per la miglior regia. Forse aveva il sentore di chi avrebbe potuto vincere, infatti con grande entusiasmo ha nominato “Alfonso Cuarón.
Si è parlato in spagnolo sul palcoscenico, forse a dimostrare come sia ormai la “lingua parlata quasi a livello dell’inglese a Los Angeles”.
L’orchestra diretta dal famoso direttore venezuelano del L.A. Phil. Gustavi Dudamel, ha diretto la musica d’accompagnamento alle memorie delle star decedute duramnte l’anno.
Olivia Colman, vincitrice come miglior attrice protagonista nella”La Favourite”, con fatica trattenendo le lacrime ha dato il merito del suo premio al regista del film ed ha scherzato sull’Oscar ricevuto dicendo come probabilmente non ne avrebbe ricevuto un’altro!!!
La vittoria di “Green Book” ha fatto chiudere in bellezza l’edizione di questa quasi familiare Academy Awards. Il film meritava per l’interpretazione dei due attori, Viggo Mortensen e Mahershala Ali. Mahershala Ali è stato premiato come attore non protagonista e per la sceneggiatura originale “Green Book”(Nick Vallelonga, Brian Currie, Peter Farrelly) ha ricevuto un terzo Oscar.
